Mariana & Sam’s Riverside Summer Wedding

The way in which I crossed paths with Mariana and Sam was quite unexpected!

Back in April, a friend of mine invited me to her honor society induction towards the end of our senior year of college. Before the ceremony ended, the inductees were taking a group photo when I realized I happened to have my camera on me that day. Naturally, I offered to take their photo, and when I got to chatting with one of the professors, she mentioned her daughter was getting married in a few months and asked if I shoot weddings — I went to give her one of my business cards from my camera bag, and I coincidentally had one card left…

Fast-forward a few months and I had the privilege of documenting her daughter Mariana’s wedding on a perfect August day!

And of course, I had to take a few photos with my 35mm point and shoot! I love how analog photography makes any frame feel like a soft memory.

Thank you to Mariana & Sam for trusting my vision! I don’t shoot weddings very often, but when I do, it’s quite heartwarming to always have kind, caring couples who make my job so memorable ♡
