Back Bay Senior Portraits

Senior portraits in the city… a HUGE success! 🌆

This is definitely one of my favorite sessions I’ve done this year so far! I used to think that a good portrait was one with even lighting, no shadows, etc. But I’ve come to learn that the depth of an image is not dependent on the technicalities of photography. I’m all about highlighting personality and emotion regardless of what “photography rules” we’re following or not.

A big inspiration for me is cinematography, so that’s something I like to weave into my images, whether that be by embracing natural light, or by letting my subjects become one with our shooting environment. That’s why I love the moody lighting and expressions we captured at Josh’s session!
